FC Scandinavia won their first match of the new season when Gharghur FC was trashed 5-1 on Wednesday evening. Lars Johansson, the Swedish goal machine, scored a hattrick and the Scandinavian defensive line looked rock solid throughout the whole game.

Well established St Andrews FC, who belong in the Maltese First Division, defeated FC Scandinavia by four goals to nil on Thursday night. The Scandinavian side should, however, get credit for their fighting spirit and their defensive display throughout the whole game. It was after all their first game after a three-month summer break.

Mattias Lönn, Jesper Foged Mathiesen and Johan Brattberg have joined Victor Englund and Karl Hedtjärn to take the new players tally to five in total. The bad news is that our Player of the Year 2009/2010 Hannes Wåhlin has decided to leave both the club and the island, and the two previous summer signings Ronni Hartvig and Jean-Amin Le Mrini might both be signed by the Division 1 club St Andrews FC.

FC Scandinavia won the Super Cup Final! Unfortunately, the May Cup winners Young Boys were not able to get a full team and the Scandinavians were handed the trophy without even playing. A good - but also strange - ending to a brilliant first season.
